Eco tips

Take responsibility for our environment and the climate right from your home.

Reduce waste and recycle

By avoiding waste and separating it properly, you conserve valuable resources and save energy. Reusable products such as reusable bags and refillable containers, as well as recycling, help reduce environmental impact and lower CO₂ emissions.

Buy local and seasonal food

Purchasing local and seasonal food reduces long transport distances and the energy required for storage and cooling. In doing so, you not only protect the climate but also support local businesses and sustainable agriculture.

Sustainable mobility

Walking, cycling, or using public transportation generates significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions than traveling by car. Choosing your mode of transport consciously is a simple way to reduce your personal CO₂ footprint in everyday life.

Eat less meat

The production of meat and dairy products places a heavy burden on the climate, as it requires large amounts of energy, water, and land and causes a significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions. Rainforests are also cleared daily to create cattle pastures and to grow animal feed. By choosing plant-based foods more often, you can significantly reduce your personal CO₂ emissions while conserving valuable resources.

Save energy at home

A large proportion of global emissions are caused by energy consumption in households. By reducing electricity use, heating efficiently, or choosing energy-efficient appliances, you not only lower your expenses but also decrease greenhouse gas emissions.Switch to an electricity provider that demonstrably invests in new regional wind and solar installations while ensuring environmentally responsible site selection.
Even small changes in your everyday life can have a noticeable effect.

Wash laundry at low temperatures

Even when doing your laundry, you can start making a difference for the environment. Avoid running the washing machine with a half-empty drum and make full use of its capacity. You can also save energy by washing at an sufficient temperature of 40°C and using the eco program.
